16-year-old Lisa has completed her compulsory schooling as the best in her class. An elite high school therefore offers her a scholarship. However, Lisa soon discovers that she is pregnant by 18-year-old Osman, who is currently serving a juvenile sentence. Osman and both sets of parents are shocked by the news. For them, it is clear that Lisa will have an abortion. Lisa, however, decides against it. This decision leads to numerous complications within and between the two families from different cultures.
